Navigation Algorithms Engineer

We are looking for a Navigation Algorithms Engineer to join our core R&D team.

In this role, you will develop the mathematical and algorithmic foundation of our navigation engine. You will work on state estimation, tracking, localization, motion modeling, and multi-sensor fusion in challenging real-world conditions.

This is a highly technical role for someone who is strong in estimation, navigation algorithms, and applied mathematics, and who enjoys turning theory into robust working systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and improve navigation, localization, and tracking algorithms

  • Design and implement estimation frameworks for dynamic systems

  • Develop filtering and fusion algorithms, including:

Kalman filters

Extended / Unscented Kalman filters

Bayesian estimation methods

Multi-sensor fusion

  • Build motion and measurement models for real-world navigation scenarios

  • Analyze system performance under noise, uncertainty, and degraded conditions

  • Develop simulation and evaluation tools in Python, MATLAB, or C++

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams to integrate algorithms into operational systems

  • Support algorithm validation through simulation, recorded data, and system-level testing

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field

  • Strong background in:

  1. Estimation theory

  2. Navigation algorithms

  3. Localization and tracking

  4. Linear algebra, probability, and dynamic systems

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing navigation / estimation / tracking algorithms

  • Strong programming skills in Python, or C++

  • Experience with one or more of the following:

  1. Kalman filtering

  2. Sensor fusion

  3. Inertial navigation

  4. Localization
